Departing CEO Paul Foster on resignation: “I know the GBGA is in safe hands”

Paul Foster has publicly commented following last week's announcement from the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA) that he resigned as its Director and CEO after five years. 

Foster said his resignation was to do with focusing on other business ventures away from the GBGA. Coordinator Merel Swarts will also be leaving the GBGA. 

The GBGA has changed the job title from CEO to ‘Secretary General.’ COO Nicholas Macias will be replacing Foster in said role. Macias has held senior compliance positions since 2014, having worked at William Hill, Coral and Lottoland during this time.

Nigel Birrell, Chairman of the GBGA, commented: “After five years in the post, our CEO Paul Foster has resigned to spend more time on other business ventures. 

“We would like to say thank you to Paul for all his hard work over the past five years and the best of luck with his future endeavours. We wish Nicky the very best of luck in this new position and look forward to working with him over the coming years.”

Foster,Free games Ex-Director and CEO of the GBGA, said: “After an amazing five years as a Director and as the CEO I took the tough decision to step down to focus on my other business ventures from the GBGA.
